Valentina Meredova, an experienced track and field athlete, master of sports and record holder of Turkmenistan, took part in the 100-meter race at the Paris Olympics. This is reported by the Internet edition "Turkmenistan: The Golden Age."
Of the 91st female athletes entered in the sport, 36 received wild cards to compete and competed in the preliminary round. Valentina Meredova was among them. Having taken 16th place in the overall standings, the athlete entered the next stage of the competition.
72 athletes competed for the semifinals. In the 100-meter race Valentina showed her best result for the season - 11.95 seconds. The qualifying time for the semifinals was 11.12 seconds. Thus, Valentina Meredova finished her performance at the XXXIII Summer Olympic Games in Paris.
Valentina Meredova has extensive experience in competition - she has participated in the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing, several summer and winter world championships, Asian championships and other prestigious tournaments.
