Young Turkmen athletes won bronze awards at the Asian Boxing Championship among juniors, schoolboys and schoolgirls held in Al Ain, UAE. This is reported by the Internet edition "AsmanNews.
Medals in 13 weight categories among juniors born in 2008-2009 and in 15 weight categories among schoolboys and schoolgirls born in 2010-2011 were contested by 462 athletes from 26 countries.
10 boxers represented Turkmenistan at the tournament.
One of the bronze medal winners was Begench Kakamyradov, a 10th grade student of the secondary school No.1 of Yolotan, Mary province, in the weight category up to 50 kg. Another bronze medal was brought to the country by Sapargeldi Nuryagdiyev, 11th grade student of 78th Ashgabat secondary school in the weight category up to 70 kg.
The Turkmen athletes were prepared for the tournament by coaches Sapardurdy Bagyev and Myrat Pazzyev.
