Young footballers of Ashgabat team "Altyn Touch" took part in the international children's tournament "Laola Cup 2024" in Hamburg from July 22 to 26, where they won three bronze awards. This is reported by the online edition "Türkmenistan habarlar portaly".
In total, about 200 soccer clubs from 46 countries fought for medals in the tournament. The competitions were held in five age categories. Turkmenistan was represented by three squads of players born in 2009, 2011 and 2013.
On the way to the bronze medal, the team of under-15 athletes played several matches - against teams from China, Sweden and Malaysia. In the match with young footballers from Germany for the third place on penalties, the Turkmen team won 2:1. Another bronze medal was won by teams from Turkmenistan in the younger age categories under 13 and under 11.
