Turkmen musicians will travel to Moscow in August to participate in a concert entitled "Truly he became the mouth of Turkmenistan" dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the birth of Makhtumkuli Fraghi. This is reported by the Internet edition "Asmannews.
The grand concert is organized by the Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory as part of the XVIII International Music Festival "Gathering Friends". The concert will feature works on poems by Makhtumkuli Fraghi and other Turkmen poets, as well as compositions dedicated to Makhtumkuli.
Fragments from the opera "Makhtumkuli", mono-opera "Monologues of Makhtumkuli Fraghi" by composer Mamed Huseynov and other classical compositions will be performed. The concert will include a lecture on "Makhtumkuli's Legacy and Modern Musical Art".
