Turkmen athletes won two medals at the World Sambo Championship

Turkmen athletes won two bronze medals at the World Sambo Championship held in Astana. This is reported by the Internet portal "Turkmenistan: The Golden Age."

The championship is being held at the Zhaksylyk Ushkempirov Palace of Combat Martial Arts. This is the first world championship in history to include such disciplines as combat sambo among women and sambo for the blind.

On the first day of the competition, bronze medals in combat sambo were won by Zarina Abdyrakhmanova, coach-teacher of the sports school (in the weight category up to 54 kg), and Gulzada Dzhorakulieva, athlete of the National Federation of Martial Arts of Turkmenistan (in the weight category up to 72 kg).
