The official website of the State Committee for Physical Culture and Sports of Turkmenistan published information on 9 sports in which Turkmen athletes will compete at the 2024 Olympics in Paris. This is reported by the TurkmenPortal online edition.
According to the information provided, Turkmenistan will be represented in the following sports disciplines: weightlifting, athletics, boxing, freestyle wrestling, Greco-Roman wrestling, swimming, basketball (3x3), powerlifting and judo.
The Summer Olympics will be held in the French capital from July 26 to August 11, 2024. In total, more than 200 National Olympic Committees will take part in the Games, 329 sets of awards in 32 sports will be played.
To prepare and support Turkmen athletes, a special Organizing Committee for preparation for high-level competitions has been established in the country.
