Young scientists of the Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics of the Oguz Khan University of Engineering and Technology of Turkmenistan have presented an innovative development to improve the nutrition of crops with the help of hydroponics - a special method of soil-free plant cultivation. This is reported by the Internet edition "Westiabad."
The authors of the scientific project are the head of the department Dovletmyrat Porrykov, teacher Ogulnur Rozyyeva and student Uzuk Allamyradova. The scientists experimentally confirmed the high efficiency of the hydroponics method using local raw materials. The research allowed them to develop a new nutrient solution for hydroponics, suitable for growing tomatoes, cucumbers, bell peppers and other crops. Work has also been done on hydroponic substrate and hydroponics automation process.
It is noted that the development will contribute to resource conservation and environmental sustainability.
