Turkmen cattle breeders have started to care for young animals

Livestock breeders of Mary province of Turkmenistan take care of 5681.7 thousand heads of sheep and goats. This is reported in the Internet edition "Westiabad."

Of the total number, 696.1 thousand heads are kept in agricultural enterprises, and the remaining 4985.6 thousand - in private flocks. Farmers of velayat have already completed calving campaign and started care and veterinary service of young animals. The stage of forming new flocks of sheep has been completed.

Preparations for the fall sheep shearing campaign are actively underway - seminars for shearers and skill contests are being held. Shearing of sheep will be completed on September 20. In October, the breeding campaign will start with appropriate zootechnical activities.

In addition, the cattle breeders of Mary velayat pay great attention to the preparation of fodder for the winter period.
