Turkmen schoolboy wins silver at youth world chess championship

At the World Chess Championship among school teams held in Aktau (Kazakhstan), young chess players from all over the world showed themselves brightly. More than 400 people in two age categories - under 12 and under 18 years old, representing 53 countries, took part in the championship. This was reported by the press service of the Consulate of Turkmenistan in Aktau on its social network page.

Ikhlas Narimanov, a schoolboy from Turkmenistan, who competed in the under-18 age category, stood out among other participants. Narimanov won a silver medal in the individual championship, which was a great achievement for both the young chess player and his country at this prestigious international competition.

The World Youth Chess Championship aims to strengthen human potential and popularize knowledge through the game of chess. The participants noted the positive atmosphere and fair competition that prevailed at this year's tournament.

In team competitions in two age groups, schools from Russia, China and India took first places. Chess officials hope to build on the success of this championship and promote the game worldwide.
