Turkmen journalist S. Akiniyazov spoke about the results of the World Cup-2023 in Kurash

Journalist Serdar Akiniyazov commented on the results of participation of the Turkmen national team in the 14th World Kurash Championship. This is reported by Centralasia.news.

In the opinion of the observer, Turkmen athletes had a brilliant preparation for the championship held in Ashgabat, as evidenced by the success of the athletes. They won 15 medals, including 5 gold, 6 silver and 4 bronze. For comparison, Turkmen wrestlers won one silver and two bronze medals at last year's championship in India.

Serdar Akiniyazov noted that the head of the International Kurash Association highly appreciated the level of organization of the World Belt Wrestling Championship and said that the tournament had contributed to raising the international prestige of Turkmenistan.

The observer also stressed that the members of foreign delegations were satisfied with the created conditions of accommodation and competitions, the organized cultural program and training conditions.
