Last weekend, at the initiative of President Serdar Berdymukhamedov, humanitarian aid was delivered from Turkmenistan to Afghanistan following the earthquake in Khost and Paktika on the night of June 22. The package, consisting of natural and processed foods, medicines and household goods, was delivered to the Afghan capital, Kabul.
There is a long tradition between the friendly peoples of Turkmenistan and Afghanistan of supporting each other morally and providing all possible assistance. President Berdymukhamedov says that his people are always ready to extend a helping hand to their neighbors. This tradition has been passed on from one generation to another.
The humanitarian parcel is a contribution of independent and neutral Turkmenistan to the development of Afghanistan. The republic received the shipment with great gratitude and expressed gratitude to Serdar Berdymukhamedov for his initiative.
After last week's devastating natural disaster, more than 250 people were killed and another 155 injured in Afghanistan. The country is now counting the damage.
