Turkmen national team wins 5 medals at the World Kickboxing Championships

Turkmen athletes managed to win five medals of different values at the World Kickboxing Championship held in Budapest from August 23 to September 1. This is reported by the Internet edition "Türkmenistan habarlar portaly".

In kick-light and low-kick disciplines Imamguly Redzhepov, Salamatkhan Baltayev and Nepes Byashimov won bronze awards. In the weight category up to 51 kg Serdar Bekenov won a silver medal.
The only gold medal in the weight category up to 37 kg was brought to the Turkmen team by Jasurbeg Akhmedov, who competed in the kick-light discipline.

Seven Turkmen kickboxers were among the top five. A total of 3,100 athletes from 69 countries took part in the competition. The Turkmen national team under the leadership of the Chairman of the Kickboxing Federation Orazmuhammet Komekov included 17 athletes and 2 coaches.
