The Day of Medical Workers of Turkmenistan was marked by the launch of new projects

President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov congratulated specialists of health care and medical industry on their professional holiday. This informs "Westiabad.".

This year marks the 30th anniversary of the State Program "Saglyk" initiated by Hero-Arkadag. The program continues the modernization of the national health care system, strengthening its material, technical and legal base, with a focus on public health, development of physical education and promotion of a healthy lifestyle.

Modern medical institutions are being built throughout the country: hospitals, scientific-clinical and health-improvement-rehabilitation centers, sanatoriums, and enterprises producing medicines from local raw materials. Among them are the Maternal and Child Health Care Center, the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Multidisciplinary Hospital and Children's Health and Rehabilitation Center in the city of Arkadag, the International Center of Physiology and Health and Rehabilitation Center in Ashgabat, as well as the enterprise for the production of glycyrrhizic acid in Turkmenabat.

The Health House in Ashgabat and the Infectious Diseases Hospital in Mary province will be opened for the professional holiday. Construction of the International Pediatric Center, Scientific-Clinical Center of Oncology and Dental Center continues in the capital. A medical cluster is being created in the city of Arkadag, and a new 400-bed complex is being built in the Arçman sanatorium.

In 2025, the foundations will be laid for new multidisciplinary hospitals in Ashgabat and Tedzhen, as well as the Center for Maternal and Child Health Care in Dashoguz.

In recent years, national programs on physiology, rehabilitation and immunoprophylaxis for 2024-2028 have been implemented, which improves the efficiency of medical care and introduces modern methods of diagnosis and treatment.

The production of medical supplies at Arkadag Medisina Klasteri Menejment expands the range of domestic products and strengthens export potential. Turkmen doctors undergo internships abroad, and cooperation with foreign medical and scientific centers is developing, including the Turkmen-German Medical Forum.

The Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charity Fund supports children in need of treatment and social assistance, and hundreds of operations and therapeutic procedures have been carried out.

The President noted that Turkmenistan's achievements in the field of health care are being recognized by international organizations, including WHO and UNICEF.
