Yesterday, Turkmen Foreign Minister R. Meredov and Dr. H. Kluge, Director of the WHO ERB, had an online conversation as part of his missions in CA.
The parties noted the successful experience of many years of interaction in different directions. In particular, Mr. Kluge emphasized the important role of initiatives of the head of Turkmenistan, which he voiced in a recent conversation with UN Secretary-General Guterres.
The participants discussed the situation with COVID-2019 in the region and the world. Separately, they discussed specific measures to prevent the spread of the virus, which are carried out in Turkmenistan.
Given WHO's leading coordinating role in countering the pandemic, the sides expressed mutual understanding of the importance of exchanging experiences between Turkmen and foreign experts.
Dr. Kluge called negotiations productive and important for global security, particularly with regard to practical solutions for stable transport corridors.
The parties voiced their readiness for further fruitful cooperation, the main goal of which is the well-being of all people.
