The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan held talks with ILO representatives

On 7 March 2023, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan held a meeting with representatives of the ILO Office for Eastern Europe and Central Asia, staff of the International Labour Organization headquarters in Geneva and delegates of the Technical Support Group on Decent Work. During the talks, the parties considered topical issues of further cooperation between Turkmenistan and the ILO. Delegates exchanged views with Turkmen diplomats on the planned roundtable to be held in Ashgabat on March 9, 2023. Details of the legislation on prohibition and prevention of forced labor and issues of fair organization of recruitment of workers for seasonal field vacancies were touched upon.

The items of the roadmap of joint activities planned by ILO and the Government of Turkmenistan for 2023 were discussed in detail.
