Intercity bus service will resume in Turkmenistan

In Turkmenistan, since April 1, bus service between Ashgabat and the regions will be resumed. Once a week there will be flights on the route Ashgabat-Turkmenbashi and back. Buses will run from Ashgabat to Mary and from Ashgabat to Dashoguz and back three times a week. The bus service between the Turkmen capital and the regions was suspended in mid-June last year to prevent the spread of COVID-19. The bus service has been resumed in test mode for the time being.

More details about the schedule can be found on the website of the carrier. It is noted that all bus transportation will be carried out in strict compliance with sanitary and hygienic norms. Thus, only those who will show a certificate confirming a negative test for COVID-19 will be allowed to get on the transport. The test must be done a maximum of 72 hours before you travel to your place of residence. You are not required to submit a certificate when traveling in the opposite direction.

The bus follows a set route without stopping. Passengers will be measured before boarding and offered the use of hand sanitizer. Observance of safe distance and wearing of masks is obligatory and controlled by the relevant services - State Enterprise "Turkmentransportnadzor" and the State Service of Sanitary and Epidemiological Surveillance of the Ministry of Health of Turkmenistan.
