On October 7, Serdar Berdimuhamedov had a telephone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin, during which the prospects for developing bilateral cooperation were discussed. On the same day, he met with Croatian Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Gordan Grlić-Radman. The talks were followed by a meeting of the intergovernmental commission and a business forum with the participation of representatives of business circles of the two countries.
The Chairman of Khalk Maslakhaty was also active in the international direction. Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov visited Azerbaijan to participate in the Summit of the Organization of Turkic States, where he discussed with President Ilham Aliyev the development of cooperation in the energy, transport and trade spheres.
On October 8, the President of Turkmenistan held a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, during which strategies for the development of the financial market and digital economy, as well as projects for the construction of new medical facilities were approved.
On October 9-10, Serdar Berdimuhamedov visited Tajikistan, where he participated in the Central Asia-Russia Summit and the meeting of the CIS Council of Heads of State. Based on the results of the forum, Turkmenistan will assume the CIS chairmanship in 2026 and become the host country of the next summit.
In addition, Ashgabat hosted the International Exhibition "Health, Education and Sport in the Renaissance Era of a New Era of a Powerful State", which brought together representatives of 40 countries. Within its framework, cooperation agreements were signed with UNFPA and UNICEF.
