The national championship on handball among girls has ended in Turkmenistan

The winners of the national girls' handball tournament have been announced. The sportswomen from Ashgabat became the champions of Turkmenistan, while the second place was won by handball players from Balkan velayat. The Lebap team took the third place. This is reported by the Internet publication "Turkmenistan: Golden Age".

The championship was organized by the State Committee of the country on Physical Culture and Sports together with the United Nations Agencies.

The event was held in accordance with the 2030 Agenda and was designed to emphasize the country's adherence to the principles of gender equality. The Turkmenistan Handball Championship was also held to attract the younger generation to a healthy lifestyle and sports activities.

The winners of the national tournament received commemorative awards and certificates of honor on behalf of UNO.
