Cycling is gaining popularity in Turkmenistan. Hundreds of thousands of cyclists ride bicycles every day. Active promotion of this healthy sport attracts young people and children to cycling. There are bicycle clubs all over the country.
Turkmenistan is a member of the International Cycling Union (UCI), which together with the Asian Cycling Confederation decided to organize a training camp for athletes from the Asian region. The camp will be based in New Delhi, India. The camp's equipment and the quality of the bicycle tracks are world-class.
In addition to the regular training of athletes, the camp will host special professional courses to improve the coaches' skills. After their successful completion the coaches of Turkmenistan cycling will be awarded the international qualification of I and II level.
Two leading cyclists of Turkmenistan will be sent to the training camp and they will represent the country with honor at further competitions and championships.
