Yesterday, on April 26 ended the fifth round of the Championship of Turkmenistan.
The completed fifth round started on April 25 with a match in Ashgabat between "Kopetdag" and "Ahal". The outcome of the meeting was decided by the only goal scored by "Ahal" player Elman Tagaev from the penalty spot in the 35th minute. It should be noted that the 30-year-old midfielder is currently leading in the scorer's race with five goals.
In another Saturday meeting, Mary Energetik hosted Altyn Asyr from the capital at the stadium of the same name. Having taken the lead in the 69th minute through the efforts of Altymurad Annadurdyev, the "communicators" lacked one minute to take away three points. Thanks to an auto goal by Rovshengeldy Khalmamedov, on 90+5 minutes "Energetik" restored the balance in the score - 1 : 1.

The capital's Ashgabat defeated Balkanabad's Nebitchi 5:2 at the Nusai stadium, while Mary Merv lost to Turkmenbashi's Shagadam with a minimum score.
According to the results of the fifth round, "Akhal", having scored 12 points, under the leadership of Hodjaahmet Arazov continues to lead the standings of the Turkmenistan Football Championship, having a game in reserve against "Altyn Asyr", which will be held on April 30. The second place is occupied by "Ashgabat" with 10 points. Kopetdag (8 points) rounds out the top three.
The matches of the sixth round will be held on May 6.
