Yesterday Hero of Turkmenistan, test-cosmonaut Oleg Kononenko received congratulations on the Day of Cosmonautics from Turkmen President Serdar Berdymukhamedov.
The leader of the state in his congratulatory message noted the honorable and important work of Oleg Dmitrievich, which contributes to the development of cosmonautics. He brought his sincere wishes of good health and new discoveries in the field of space exploration.
Олег Дмитриевич Кононенко появился на свет в Туркменской ССР в 1964 году, в 2009 году он получил почетное звание Героя РФ. В Туркменистане заслуги Кононенко были также отмечены званием Героя – случилось это в 2019 году. Получая заслуженную награду, космонавт подчеркнул, что гордится быть выходцем из Туркменистана и признает полученное звание символом неразрывной связи с Родиной.
