UNICEF conducted trainings for educators in Turkmenistan

A three-day training for 25 kindergarten teachers, organized by UNICEF together with the Ministry of Education and the National Institute of Education of Turkmenistan, was completed in Ashgabat. The program took place from August 26 to 28 and was aimed at developing skills in working with parents and improving the quality of early childhood education. Arzuw.news reports with reference to UNICEF office in Ashgabat.

Educators received practical tools for conducting parenting classes, encouraging caring attitudes toward children, and helping families create a nurturing home environment. The main focus of the program was on promoting positive approaches to parenting.

After completing the training, educators will participate in a pilot parent support program in the current school year. This will allow for systematic sharing of experiences and professional guidance to families.

The initiative is part of UNICEF's long-term cooperation with the Government of Turkmenistan to develop an early development system and expand access to quality preschool education.

The goal of the program is to strengthen the role of parents as key partners in education, improve children's readiness for school and provide comprehensive support for their child's development at home and in preschool.
