As Putin's press secretary Dmitry Peskov confirmed today, the Russian president intends to meet with Serdar Berdymukhamedov in the near future.
Recall that the President of Turkmenistan won the elections on March 12 this year, and already on April 8 there was a telephone conversation between the newly elected head of state and Vladimir Putin.
The parties expressed their mutual readiness to deepen strategic partnership in various areas of social and economic life.
During the conversation, the Russian leader invited Serdar Berdymukhamedov to Russia for an official visit. The president of Turkmenistan accepted the invitation with gratitude and expressed his intention to visit Russia this year.
