Turkmenistan has announced an international tender for the design and construction of a 160-bed international pediatric center in Ashgabat, according to a report in today's Turkmenistan newspaper.
The tender was organized by the Ministry of Construction and Architecture. Applications for participation will be accepted until November 17.
Recall that the proposal to build a medical center for pediatrics was made by former President Gurbanguly Berdymukhamedov on February 8, 2022.
On August 23, Deputy Prime Minister Nurmukhammet Amannepesov told President Serdar Berdymukhamedov that the center is planned to be built in the southern part of the Turkmen capital. The facility will be part of the International Medical Centers Directorate at Turkmenistan's Ministry of Health and Medical Industry. It currently includes centers of cardiology, internal diseases, diagnostics, treatment of head and neck diseases, treatment of eye diseases, dentistry, neurology, endocrinology and surgery as well as Ene mähri perinatal center.
