Turkmenistan to provide humanitarian aid to Afghanistan

President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov has signed an order to provide humanitarian aid to the Afghan people affected by the devastating earthquake. Arzuw.news reports with reference to Turkmenistan: Golden Age.

The aid will be provided on behalf of the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Care. The humanitarian cargo will include medicines, food, textiles and other vital goods.

Support is particularly focused on helping children and people in Afghanistan who have been affected by the disaster. The earthquake caused numerous deaths, injuries and widespread damage to infrastructure.

The decision to provide assistance is based on the centuries-old sacred traditions of the Turkmen people - the principles of humanism and mercy. Hero Arkadag notes that the principles of humanity and compassion are the basis of any civilized society.
