Turkmenistan hosted a competition among fourth- and fifth-year students of Turkmen universities on the occasion of the World Urban Day, which is celebrated annually on October 31. The participants in the contest were students of specialties related to ecology. The topic of the research works was related to modern methods of recycling of secondary raw materials.
The students creatively approached the problem of recycling, presenting projects with innovative options for the production of goods from recycled materials, as well as - the idea of their application in everyday life.
The event was organized by UNDP in Turkmenistan together with the Ministry of Education. According to the results of the competition, announced by a special jury, the winners were named. The winner was Ogulshirin Tacheva, a 4th year student, who presented her project of a zero-waste cycle of manufacturing goods from recycled plastic to the experts.
