Turkmenistan held a solemn ceremony of opening of new facilities of the State Energy Institute, including an additional educational building for 2,000 seats, a dormitory for 800 students, a sports complex and a monument "Täze kuwwat". Arzuw.news reports with reference to Turkmenistan: Golden Age.
The event was attended by the hakim of Mary province, Executive Secretary of the National Commission of Turkmenistan for UNESCO, deputies of the Mejlis, representatives of public organizations and foreign structures. During the ceremony, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov's address to schoolchildren, students and educators on the occasion of the Day of Knowledge and Student Youth was read out.
The new educational building includes 18 general classrooms, 28 classrooms for practical training, 6 computer classrooms, 6 language laboratories and 57 training and laboratory rooms. The building houses the Research and Production Center "Renewable Energy Sources", a museum, a library, a center for robotics and artificial intelligence, and a conference hall for 500 seats.
The laboratories are equipped with modern equipment from leading manufacturers in Germany, Spain, Italy and China, including an experimental device of the Spanish company "EDIBON SCADA System". The four-story dormitory provides accommodation for four students per room.
Special attention has been paid to environmental technologies. Solar panels with a capacity of 132 kW have been installed on the roof of the dormitory, and a 30 kW wind farm and a 15 kW solar power plant have been built near the Täze kuwwat monument.
The construction of the facilities was carried out by the private company "Röwşen" on behalf of the Ministry of Energy. During the ceremony, international certificates from the UNESCO Institute, the Latvian Council for Sustainable Construction, the United Nations Development Program and the German Society for International Cooperation were awarded.
Memorandums of Understanding were also signed with Clausthal Technical University of Germany and Martin Luther University of Halle-Wittenberg, which will expand opportunities for international cooperation in education.
