Turkmen scientist Ilyasov knows how to turn old office equipment into a "gold mine

Turkmen scientist Ilyasov, speaking at the International Scientific Conference in Ashgabat, emphasized to the delegates that a competent approach to recycling obsolete office equipment can bring enormous income to the country. Recycling of obsolete equipment is beneficial not only economically, but also ecologically sound. Careful extraction of precious metals from such equipment should be the main task of scientists.

Ilyasov noted that despite the high cost of gold, platinum and palladium, their consumption is growing year by year. Innovative technologies are moving towards miniaturization of electronic equipment, which requires more use of precious metals.

The age of electronic technology is short, and it becomes obsolete almost every year. Office equipment has become a part of people's lives. It is used not only in every department of the office, but also in every home. Even children use computers now.

Over time, the fleet of computer equipment is renewed, while the old ones are, at best, gathering dust in warehouses, decommissioned due to obsolescence. Extracting non-oxidizable gold contacts and parts from them can be a gold mine.
