International Internet Olympiad was held in the Turkmen city of Mary

The second Open International Internet Olympiad among students in theoretical mechanics was held at the State Energy Institute of Turkmenistan in the city of Mary. Students from 16 Turkmen universities and 59 universities from around the world participated in the event. Among the participating countries were Russia, China, Great Britain, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Belarus, Afghanistan, Ecuador and many others. This is reported by the Neutral Turkmenistan daily newspaper.

The tasks in the competition required the application of knowledge of theoretical mechanics and mathematics. Successful problem solving required the search for new non-standard approaches. The competitors competed in individual and team scoring.

The platform of the Olympiad was a special university platform, and the competition was monitored by Google Meet. The official languages of the competition were Turkmen, Russian and English.

Turkmenistan was outnumbered in both individual and team competitions. In total, Turkmen students won 45 awards.

Such competitions are designed to promote the development of friendly relations and effective cooperation between Turkmenistan and universities of the world.
