The Exhibition Center of Fine Arts of the Ministry of Culture of Turkmenistan opened an exhibition of works by 12 Turkmen artists dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the birth of Makhtumkuli Fraghi. This is reported by the TurkmenPortal online edition.
The exhibition was named "Spring in the country sung by Fraga". It presents 120 art, sculpture and ceramic works by graduates of the Tashkent State Theater and Art Institute.
The center of the exposition is a portrait of Makhtumkuli by Rakhman Umarov, who has already opened several exhibitions in Ashgabat. The leitmotif of many art works is Makhtumkuli's poems. The paintings depict harmonious spring landscapes, beautiful girls, happy life with a peaceful sky above their heads.
