A creative meeting dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the birth of Makhtumkuli Fraghi was held at the Turkmen State Institute of Economics and Management under the title Berkararar döwletiň täze eýýýamynyň Galkynyşy döwri: akyldar şahyryň arzuwlan zamanasy. The event was attended by students, teachers and guests of the university. The meeting included a song and music concert and an exhibition of the poet's books. During the opening of the concert, representatives of the Central Bank of Turkmenistan, which organized the evening, as well as employees of newspaper editorial offices made speeches.
Honored Artist of Turkmenistan Tirkesh Matnazarov opened the concert with the song Pähim-paýhas ummany Magtymguly Pyragy and Monça bol. Compositions to poems by Makhtumkuli Fraghi and works by Turkmen composers were also performed.
