Turkmenistan and Italy discuss presidential visit and artifacts exhibition

Turkmenistan's Ambassador to Italy T. Komekov held a meeting with Italian Deputy Foreign Minister E. Cirielli in the building of the Italian Foreign Ministry on September 3. Arzuw.news reports with reference to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

The central topics of the talks were the organization of the Turkmen President's visit to Italy this year and the preparation of an exhibition of unique artifacts in the Capitoline Museum of Rome. The exhibition will present findings from the ancient Margiana and Nisa, including the results of joint Turkmen-Italian archaeological expeditions.

The diplomats discussed prospects for deepening bilateral cooperation in political and diplomatic, trade and economic, scientific and cultural areas. Special attention was paid to interaction within the framework of international organizations.

During the meeting, the sides discussed the issues of holding events with the participation of the heads of relevant agencies and organizing cultural events. The sides emphasized the importance of further strengthening the partnership between the two countries and exchanged wishes of peace and prosperity for the peoples of Turkmenistan and Italy.
