President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov took part in the ceremony of commissioning of the second stage of the Baherden cement plant with a capacity of 1 million tons of cement per year on May 8, 2024. This was reported by the TurkmenPortal online publication.
The plant, which has been operating since 2005, produces the most popular cement grades. The construction of the second stage of the plant was carried out by specialists from the individual company Beýik-Bina and the German engineering company KHD Humboldt Wedag. When constructing the plant, special attention was paid to its environmental friendliness.
The new equipment of the plant will make it possible to produce a wide range of products, including cement of the popular brands of PC-400, PC-500, PC-600 and sulfate-resistant Portland cement.
