Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan addressed the meeting of the CIS Heads of Government Council

On May 24, a meeting of the Council of Heads of Government of the CIS countries with the participation of the Turkmen delegation headed by Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers H. Geldimiradov was held in Ashgabat's Garagum Hotel. This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

Х. Geldimiradov made a welcoming speech, expressing his gratitude for the accepted invitation to visit Ashgabat to participate in the meeting. Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin, as Chairman of the CIS Council of Heads of Government in 2024, opened the meeting. CIS Secretary General Sergey Lebedev delivered information on the current agenda.

The prospects for deepening cooperation between the CIS countries in the spheres of energy and transportation were discussed during the meeting in an extended format.

The meeting resulted in the signing of a number of documents, including the Decision on declaring Ashgabat the City of New Sports Opportunities of the CIS. The results of the meeting were announced during the press conference.
