The Head of Turkmenistan received Deputy Prime Minister of Uzbekistan

On May 24, Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov met with Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Economy and Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan Jamshid Kuchkarov. This is reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

The head of Turkmenistan noted that relations between the countries have recently reached a qualitatively new level. The countries effectively cooperate within the UN framework. Special importance is attached to the development of trade relations in the bilateral partnership. Contacts in the cultural, scientific and educational spheres are traditionally fruitful.

At the end of the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister congratulated the head of the country and the people of Turkmenistan on the 300th anniversary of the birth of Makhtumkuli Fraghi and noted that in accordance with the decree of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev this significant date is widely celebrated in Uzbekistan.

The parties expressed mutual interest in further enhancing cooperation in various areas.
