Economic observer Valentin Trapeznikov noted the high dynamics of economic growth of Turkmenistan during the years of independence. This is reported by the Internet edition "CentralAsia.news".
The expert noted that the GDP growth rate from 2020 until now is 6.2-6.3%. The main sectors of economic growth were industry, agriculture and construction. The volume of capital investments has increased significantly - the indicators of 2020-2023 are 6.9-8.5 times higher than in 2007.
High growth rates of the national economy have contributed to the improvement of the quality of life and well-being of the country's citizens. Average wages and state payments have increased by 10% between 2020 and 2023. Since the beginning of this year, these indicators have increased by another 10.4%. Thus, the GDP growth rate in Turkmenistan remains the highest in the Central Asian region and one of the best in the world.
