Korea announces admission to scholarship program for Turkmenistanis

The Institute of International Education under the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Korea has opened a call for applications for the state scholarship program for higher education. For citizens of Turkmenistan 2 places for bachelor's degree program are allocated through the embassy. Arzuw.news reports with reference to the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Turkmenistan.

The quota includes one place in the regular GKS program and one place in the R-GKS program. Persons who have graduated from high school or college up to and including December 31, 2025 are eligible to participate.

Submissions are made exclusively online through the official website www.studyinkorea.go.kr between September 15 and September 30, 2025, Korean time (GMT+9).

The selection of candidates is being conducted in two stages. The results of the first stage will be announced after October 10, then the selected participants will be interviewed at an individually scheduled time.

Applicants can choose one of two ways to apply: through the embassy or directly through a Korean university. The organizers emphasize that individual appeals on matters of application and document verification are not considered.
