Turkmen cinema presented at the Korkyt Ata festival in Kazakhstan

The opening of the International Film Festival of Turkic Peoples "Korkyt Ata" took place in the Mangistau region of Kazakhstan. The ceremony was attended by filmmakers from Azerbaijan, Turkey, Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Hungary and Kazakhstan. About it reports online edition "Turkmenistan: The Golden Age." 

Turkmenistan sent to the festival a representative delegation of the Oguz-Khan Turkmenfilm Association, including leading directors, actors, scriptwriters and cameramen. Within the framework of the festival, the audience will be shown the novelties of the Turkmen cinematography. The program includes feature films "Kämillige ýol 2: Erjellik" by Batyr Batyrov, "Kitap" by Hekim Alovovov, "Ismim düşdi ilden-ile" by Maksat Gylydzhov, as well as documentary "...Senet däldir, ol sungatdyr" by Sahragul Janmammedova. In addition, the films "Gürgenç gözeli Törebeg" by Vep Ishanguliyev and "Ynsan syrdaşy" by Zulfiya Kadyrova will be presented.

Turkmenfilm's Deputy Chairman for Creative Affairs Sakhysalykh Bayramov joined the jury of the feature film competition, while Dovletgeldy Khudaiberdyev will evaluate documentaries. The results of the festival will be summarized in the nominations "Best Feature Film", "Best Director", "Best Script", "Best Actress" and "Best Actor". A special TURKSOY award for contribution to Turkic culture will also be presented.

The festival, which runs from October 1 to 5, brings together about fifty films. Special tours to the sights of the Mangistau region are organized for the guests.
