Turkmen dancers presented national art on the international stage

Within the framework of the "Dance Turkmenistan!" project, three Turkmen artists - Allamurat Saparov, Rovshen Baimuradov and Maral Khamraguliyeva - took part in an intercultural dance event in Almaty. The event was held from September 22 to October 3 at the site of "Jolda Dance Theatre". About it reports online edition "Turkmenistan: The Golden Age."

The selection of participants was based on the results of an international choreographic performance dedicated to the folk dance Kushtdepdi, which was held earlier at the State Cultural Center of Turkmenistan with the support of the French Institute and the Ministry of Culture of Turkmenistan.

During the two-week program, the Turkmen dancers attended a series of master classes and established professional contacts with representatives of theater and dance companies in Kazakhstan. Among the experts with whom the artists collaborated were costume designer Tamara Said, composer Ella Bayysbaeva and director Mark Kuklin.

Under the guidance of the curator, the participants developed their creative ideas for the final show, which took place on October 3 at the experimental dance company "Jolda Dance Theatre". The project contributed to the strengthening of cultural ties and professional growth of Turkmen performers.
