Turkmenistan and UNICEF strengthen cooperation in the health sector

The Government of Turkmenistan and the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) signed a new Agreement on the purchase of vaccines and immunization products for 2026-2028. The ceremony was held on October 10 at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry on the National Day of Health Workers. About it reports MIC.

UNICEF representative in Turkmenistan Jalpa Ratna said the agreement reflects the country's commitment to invest in a sustainable national health system.

Turkmenistan has demonstrated consistent commitment to the immunization programme by financing vaccine procurement through UNICEF since 2006. Annual purchases exceed $17 million, making the country a regional model for sustainable vaccination financing.

The Parties will continue to work together to strengthen the immunization system and ensure a healthy future for every child in Turkmenistan.
