Journalists from the federal TV channel "Kultura", as part of the "People's Land" project, filmed a program about the Turkmen of Stavropol Territory. The film crew visited Neftekumsk, Blagodarensk and Turkmen districts, depicting the culture, lifestyle and history of the residents of Turkmen villages of Stavropol Krai.
The journalists were completely satisfied with the results of their joint efforts. It is planned that this documentary series will include three films telling about the life and cultural peculiarities of the peoples of Stavropol Territory. Previously, "Kultura" journalists have already made full-fledged films about the Nogai and Greeks living in the territory of the region.
The key goal of the "People's Land" project is to demonstrate the specifics of life of small ethnic groups of the Russian Federation. The television journalists involved in the project have created 22 documentary films. Film crews have already visited such Russian regions as Kamchatka, Altai, Dagestan, Buryatia, Karelia, and Kuban.
