Meredov and Lavrov discussed cooperation by phone

Turkmen Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov held a telephone conversation with his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov. This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

The foreign ministers of the two countries discussed topical issues of bilateral cooperation between Turkmenistan and the Russian Federation. Special attention was paid to the importance of interaction in the international political arena.

Following the talks, the ministers agreed to continue active political dialog and hold regular talks and contacts at the level of foreign ministers.

Cooperation between the two countries will be developed within the framework of the Program of Cooperation between the Foreign Ministries of Turkmenistan and Russia for 2025-2026. This document was signed in Ashgabat in June this year.
