The Embassy of Turkmenistan in Islamabad hosted a round table on the results of LLDC3

A round table dedicated to the results of the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries was held at the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Islamabad on August 26. Arzuw.news reports with reference to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

Diplomatic representatives of six Central Asian states in Pakistan - Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan - participated in the discussion.

The participants of the meeting highly appreciated the results of the UN conference, which was aimed at developing common approaches to solving the problems of countries without direct access to sea routes. Special emphasis was placed on the importance of developing transport and energy communications, expanding transit opportunities and implementing major infrastructure projects in the region.

Diplomats stressed the need to strengthen regional integration, digitalization of the economy and introduction of innovative technologies. It was separately noted that successful implementation of the conference decisions is possible only with active cooperation with transit states and international financial institutions.

At the end of the roundtable, the participants confirmed their intention to continue close cooperation to promote the interests of landlocked developing countries and practical implementation of the UN conference decisions.
