The Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan hosted a conference on seismology

A scientific-practical conference dedicated to the successful completion of the project on modernization of the seismological research system in the Turkmen capital and adjacent territories was held in Ashgabat. This is reported by the Internet edition "Westiabad." 

The project was implemented jointly by the Japan International Cooperation Agency and the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan under the signed agreement. The participants of the conference in Ashgabat were representatives of the Japanese Agency, as well as representatives of scientific circles of Turkmenistan.

During the event, specialists of the Institute of Seismology and Atmospheric Physics presented the results of research, and partners from Japan shared their impressions of cooperation with Turkmenistan and told about their own experience.
