Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev met today, July 3, with Turkmen Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov to discuss key areas of bilateral partnership.
The Turkmen diplomat conveyed greetings from the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and the National Leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
During the talks, the sides focused on expanding cooperation in trade and economic, energy, transportation and communication areas. Special attention was paid to the importance of joint projects for the development of both countries.
The participants of the meeting also discussed the prospects of strengthening ties in the spheres of culture, education and other social areas.
Following the talks, the sides expressed confidence in further development of fruitful cooperation for the benefit of the peoples of Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan.
