On Thursday, August 8, 2024, the 15th meeting of the Executive Committee of the Secretariat of the Central Asia-Republic of Korea Cooperation Forum was held in the building of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea, where Turkmenistan was represented by the country's Ambassador in Seoul Begench Durdyev. The Executive Committee includes the heads of diplomatic missions of Central Asian countries and the Director General of the North-East and Central Asian Affairs Bureau of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea. The members of the Executive Committee discussed issues related to the organization of the upcoming 17th Cooperation Forum, which is scheduled to be held in Seoul this fall.
During the meeting, topical issues on the agenda of the planned Forum, which will be held in the format of "Central Asia - Republic of Korea", were considered. The work plan of this large-scale event was also discussed.
