A conference was held in Ashgabat to review the results of the Tennis Federation of Turkmenistan for the past 9 months of 2024 and outline ways of further development of tennis in the country. This is reported by the Internet edition "Turkmenistan: The Golden Age."
The participants of the conference were responsible officials of the Tennis Federation, coaches and athletes from Ashgabat and provinces of the country. It was noted that since the beginning of the current year, Turkmen tennis players have won 27 medals of international competitions. Turkmenistan has 4 gold, 20 silver and 3 bronze medals.
Also during the conference important achievements of the Federation were noted: Ilima Huseynova became the second racket in Asia among girls under 14 years old, and Sabina Rakhmanova represented the country in the prestigious junior qualifying tournament Roland Garros.
President of the International Tennis Federation David Haggerty and President of the Asian Tennis Federation Yuri Polsky visited Turkmenistan this year. The President of Turkmenistan was presented an ITF Certificate for his contribution to the development of tennis in the country.
