Ashgabat's ArtEast theater presented a new play based on Ostrovsky's play

On the 200th anniversary of the birth of the famous Russian writer and playwright N. Ostrovsky, the artists of the ArtEast theater showed the premiere of the performance based on his play "Profitable Place". This is reported by the Internet edition: "Turkmenistan: Golden Age".

The director of the production M. Jumabaev presented an original reading of the text of the play and experimented with the scenography. The time of the play's action was transferred to the present, which allowed the classic work to acquire a new sound.

According to the director, the play is based not on traditional theatrical techniques, but on the recognition of modern realities, which makes it possible to get a more lively response in the hearts of modern viewers.

This theatrical production will be shown at the XXV International Theater Festival in St. Petersburg, which will be held in April this year.
