Turkmen boxers won 7 awards at the Asian Championship in Astana

Turkmen boxers won seven medals of different values at the Asian Youth and Junior Championships held in Astana. This was reported by the Internet publication "Turkmenistan: Golden Age".

About 200 athletes from 23 countries, including Central Asian countries, Vietnam, India, UAE, Pakistan, Mongolia, Palestine, India, UAE and Vietnam, took part in the tournament. Boxers competed in 13 weight categories.

Among young men Dayanch Durdynepesov won the gold medal, silver medals were awarded to Sanjar Khamraev and Abdulla Khodjaev, bronze medalist was Seyitjan Babadjanov.

Among juniors, Turkmen boxers won three medals. Aziz Klychev won a silver medal, and two bronze medals were won by Ikhlas Bagtyyarov and Mustapa Muhammetdurdyev. The mentors of the Turkmen team at the tournament were Sapardurdy Bagyev and Maksud Sheripov, as well as the head coach of the national team Tenilbek Jumakulov.
