Uzbekistan hosted the Global Skating Academy Trophy international figure skating tournament, where the Turkmen team showed excellent preparation. Figure skaters from Turkmenistan won two silver awards and one bronze in Tashkent. This is reported by the Internet edition "Westiabad."
220 figure skaters from 6 countries took part in the international tournament in Tashkent: Russian Federation, Turkmenistan, Georgia, UAE, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.
Turkmen athletes Ainur Berdyeva and Rakhman Hojamkuliev, who trained under the guidance of experienced coaches Abat Muhammetniyazova and Ilina Karimova, won prestigious silver medals. Figure skater Hanna Sahedova won the bronze medal of the tournament.
